Updating of the European regulatory framework for CE-marking
The European so-calledNew Approachfor safety assurance of products within the EU/EEA member countries was developed in 1985.The part of this called the Global Approach include the modules with risk-classes for different types of products and also introduction of CE-marking to claim conformity. For most product types it entails self-declaration of conformity by the manufacturer or his authorized representative.
Use of the 6 GHz spectrum band for Wi-Fi 7 approved in Pakistan
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has officially approved the use of the 6 GHz spectrum band for Wi-Fi 7, the next-generation connectivity standard, which is a significant step towards enhanced connectivity.
This decision shall bring Pakistan in line with global digital advancements and position the country as one of the first in the Asia-Pacific region to adopt this cutting-edge technology.

Iraq’s national Communications & Media Commission (CMC) has officially issued Decision No. 122/Q/2025 effective from 22 September this year, with the first national regulatory framework for Short-Range Devices (SRD) and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) equipment.
This regulation harmonizes Iraq’s radio spectrum management with the European ETSI- and internationalITUstandards and establishes a clear technical foundation for modern wireless and UWB-based devices.
Microwave ovens have transformed the lives of many, though it hasn’t always been an easy ride. In the 1970s in the USA the market for microwave ovens took a plunge when the Consumers Union warned of uncertainty around radiation effects. But after much testing and the introduction of stringent microwave emission limits and safety requirements - as set out in the international IEC standards - these fears were largely abated.
