Nemko News in Brief April 2025

Dear Reader,

De-globalization has gradually been affecting trade flows and competitiveness. But these days, global trade is holding its breath to see what may become or not become out of the just started apparent trade war. Not least does this affect the trade of electrical and electronic products, which is amongst the largest group of products traded internationally as referred to in the second article below.

The future of global trade has been expected to be driven by innovation, digitalization, a just transition, and inclusiveness but faces tough challenges.

For us in the TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification) industry, who serve the global trade by facilitating both exports and imports, the outcome of these challenges will in fact presumably be positive😊
